GDP

Authorisation for preservation of medical samples

GDP (Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use) is a licence issued by the Federal Agency for Medicines and Health Products (FAGG). They are European guidelines for distributors of pharmaceuticals and medical devices with the aim of ensuring product quality and safety throughout the distribution chain. This GDP authorisation is also a requirement for storing medical samples. Merak must therefore, more specifically, comply with the requirements of article 77 of directive 2001/83/ec (see licence).

Why does Merak have a GDP licence?

Because the storage of some medicines requires a GDP Permit (through the FAGG), Merak always follows the necessary guidelines and we have always obtained this permit, and have done so since 2011. For our customers, this means they have the guarantee that we store their samples and medicines completely safely and according to legal standards.
